Our Work with the Environment

Justice Squared’s Environmental initiatives provide awareness and community service opportunities to help ensure sustainability of the environment.

Justice Squared teaches and demonstrates how community institutions and individuals can live a “greener” lifestyle and advocates to protect the environment and natural resources for all Minnesotans.

The Justice Squared Environmental initiatives include:

  • Coordinating community-wide clean-ups
  • Encouraging advocacy on the state and local levels to promote a cleaner, healthier environment
  • Conducting educational sessions on the environment and sustainability to the Jewish and non-Jewish community
  • Assisting with the Community Garden Project, which recognizes successful communities that utilize vegetables and plants or beautification, health and sustainability initiatives
  • Partnering with Congregations Caring for Creation (C3) and Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL)
