Holocaust Education & Remembrance

Holocaust Education Speakers Bureau

More than 70 years after the Holocaust, hatred, antisemitism, and genocide still threaten our world. The life stories of Holocaust survivors transcend the decades and remind us of the constant need to be vigilant citizens and to stop injustice, prejudice, and hatred wherever and whenever they occur.

A Holocaust survivor family member can come to your school in person or virtually, tell their story, and answer questions.

Speakers tell their family stories to thousands of students each year using specialized Holocaust education curricula.  They are today’s voices for education and action and are an invaluable source for understanding this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.

JCRC 3GMinnDak is an affiliate of Living Links to mobilize descendants in community, civic engagement and education. Living Links is a USC Shoah Foundation partner.

If you are a descendent of a Holocaust family, please join our private Facebook group.

If you are a child or grandchild of a Holocaust survivor and would like information about becoming a speaker to share your family’s story, please contact Meira Besikof.

The Holocaust was the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime, its allies, and collaborators.  The resources below lay out the foundations of the Holocaust.  Our speakers represent one family’s story meant to recount their experience during the war.

Please spend some time with these resources before our speaker meets with your group:

  1. Jewish Life in Europe Before the Holocaust
  2. Film: The Path to Nazi Genocide
  3. Why the Jews: History of Antisemitism
