What’s at stake in the upcoming Israeli elections
Oct 23, 2026 | This time of year, on the Jewish calendar is often associated with “MarCheshvan,” or “bitter Cheshvan,” a traditional reference to the quiet associated with the only month on the Hebrew calendar without a festival or holiday. This year, with highly contested and consequential elections in both the United States and Israel occurring during Cheshvan, the mood and energy in our Jewish community are anything but quiet.
