Rosh Hashanah and the First Day of School: JCRC Advocates for Religious Inclusion in Public Schools

One of the JCRC’s missions is to advocate for Jewish families and employees in public schools and other educational and workplace settings.

The first day of school for many Minnesota school districts in 2021 was scheduled to be Tuesday, September 7, which is also the first day of Rosh Hashanah. JCRC staff are working with school districts, parents, and the Minnesota Rabbinical Association to build and maintain inclusive environments for Jewish families, educators, and staff in Minnesota school districts. If you have questions or concerns about your school district, please email info@minndakjcrc.wpenginepowered.com.
